11. Moody Autumn Wreath

Dark moody autumn wreath with black leaves and burgundy foliage on a wooden door

This season’s most-pinned wreaths go moody: black eucalyptus, burgundy amaranth, dried pampas grass, and deep plum berries on a dark grapevine base. Halloween-adjacent without a single plastic spider — elegant enough to leave up through Thanksgiving. Build it asymmetric, heavier on one side, for a designer-made look.

What You’ll Need

  • Grapevine wreath base (18-24 inches)
  • Black eucalyptus stems
  • Burgundy amaranth + dried pampas grass
  • Dark plum berry picks
  • Black velvet ribbon + hot glue gun

How to Make

  1. Glue eucalyptus around the base, heavier on the lower-left.
  2. Layer in amaranth and pampas, letting stems trail.
  3. Tuck berry picks into gaps for deep color pops.
  4. Wire a velvet bow to the top or side.
  5. Hang and fluff any flat spots until lush.
