2. DIY Confetti Balloons

Balloons are a party staple, but confetti-filled balloons take the ordinary to extraordinary. To make them, you’ll need clear latex balloons, large-hole confetti or paper circles punched with a hole punch, and a hand pump or balloon inflator. Insert a small funnel into the mouth of an uninflated balloon and pour in two to three tablespoons of confetti before inflating. Once filled to your desired size, tie the balloon and gently rub the outside with a soft cloth or your hand to help the confetti stick to the sides through static.

For a more dramatic effect, inflate the balloons with a mixture of regular air and a small amount of hairspray inside the balloon before adding confetti. The hairspray helps confetti cling to the latex and creates a more even, sparkling distribution. Hang these balloons from the ceiling at varying heights using clear fishing line, or cluster them together above the food table for a show-stopping display.

If you want to take it up another notch, add a tiny battery-operated LED light inside a few select balloons before inflating. The result is a soft, glowing orb that looks magical as the lights dim at midnight.
