For a Halloween manicure that whispers instead of shouts, try olive green with copper chrome accents. The earthy green feels perfectly autumnal, metallic copper catches the light like falling leaves, and a tortoiseshell ring finger ties it all together.

What You’ll Need

  • Olive green polish
  • Copper chrome powder
  • No-wipe top coat (for chrome application)
  • Amber and brown polish for the tortoiseshell accent

How to Make

  1. Paint all nails olive green except the ring finger, which gets the tortoiseshell treatment from design #5.
  2. On 2 nails, apply no-wipe top coat, cure or dry, then buff in copper chrome powder with a silicone applicator.
  3. Dust off excess powder and seal the chrome nails with top coat.
  4. Finish the remaining nails with a glossy top coat.
