2. Real Mini Brick Hanging Ornaments

If you want a more authentic approach, you can find genuine miniature bricks at craft stores, garden centers, or online. These are often sold for fairy gardens and dollhouse projects, and they make surprisingly elegant ornaments. Because they’re real fired clay, they have that unmistakable weight and texture.
Choose bricks in the one to two inch range so they hang nicely on a tree branch. Some crafters prefer smooth red brick, while others love the look of rough, reclaimed-style pieces. You can leave them completely natural, which is wonderfully minimalist, or paint them with the year, a snowflake, a tiny house silhouette, or a simple initial.
If you’d like to hang them, the easiest method is to use a hot glue gun to attach a small loop of twine, thin wire, or even a tiny leather strap to the top. Make sure the glue is fully cooled before hanging, since hot glue on a real brick can stay warm longer than you’d expect.
This project takes about twenty minutes from start to finish, and the difficulty is extremely low. It’s one of the most budget-friendly ideas, especially if you buy bricks in small bags. The rustic look is built right in, so very little embellishment is needed. These also double as charming place card holders at a holiday dinner.
